The kanji 着 means don, arrive, wear, counter for suits of clothing. Its on’yomi (Chinese-derived reading) is チャク、ジャク (chaku, jaku); its kun’yomi (native Japanese reading) is き.る、き.せる、つ.く、つ.ける (kiru, kiseru, tsuku, tsukeru). It is written with 12 strokes, under radical 目 (no. 109).
