Frequently asked
Which JLPT level should I start with?

Are there official JLPT vocabulary lists?
No. Since the 2010 revision the JLPT has not published official vocabulary or kanji lists. The lists used here are community-made lists that reflect what earlier tests and textbooks cover.
When is the JLPT held?
In Japan it is held twice a year, in July and December; in many other countries it is held once or twice a year. Check jlpt.jp for your country.
