The kanji 詰 means packed, close, pressed, reprove, rebuke, blame. Its on’yomi (Chinese-derived reading) is キツ、キチ (kitsu, kichi); its kun’yomi (native Japanese reading) is つ.める、つ.め、-づ.め、つ.まる、つ.む (tsumeru, tsume, zume, tsumaru, tsumu). It is written with 13 strokes, under radical 言 (no. 149).
