The kanji 集 means gather, meet, congregate, swarm, flock. Its on’yomi (Chinese-derived reading) is シュウ (shuu); its kun’yomi (native Japanese reading) is あつ.まる、あつ.める、つど.う (atsumaru, atsumeru, tsudou). It is written with 12 strokes, under radical 隹 (no. 172).
