The kanji 節 means node, season, period, occasion, verse, clause, stanza, honor. Its on’yomi (Chinese-derived reading) is セツ、セチ (setsu, sechi); its kun’yomi (native Japanese reading) is ふし、-ぶし、のっと (fushi, bushi, notto). It is written with 13 strokes, under radical 竹 (no. 118).
