The kanji 覆 means capsize, cover, shade, mantle, be ruined. Its on’yomi (Chinese-derived reading) is フク (fuku); its kun’yomi (native Japanese reading) is おお.う、くつがえ.す、くつがえ.る (oou, kutsugaesu, kutsugaeru). It is written with 18 strokes, under radical 襾 (no. 146).
