The kanji 読 means read. Its on’yomi (Chinese-derived reading) is ドク、トク、トウ (doku, toku, tou); its kun’yomi (native Japanese reading) is よ.む、-よ.み (yomu, yomi). It is written with 14 strokes, under radical 言 (no. 149).
