The kanji 軽 means lightly, trifling, unimportant. Its on’yomi (Chinese-derived reading) is ケイ、キョウ、キン (kei, kyou, kin); its kun’yomi (native Japanese reading) is かる.い、かろ.やか、かろ.んじる (karui, karoyaka, karonjiru). It is written with 12 strokes, under radical 車 (no. 159).
